Position Summary: 

As the Vice President of Sales, you will be a key member of our executive team and will play a critical role in owning & closing key accounts as well as defining and executing our sales strategy. The VP will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team while cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with key customers, often referred to as "executive sponsors." This role focuses on driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction through strong executive-level engagement. You will lead a high-performing sales team and be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and establishing Codoxo as a leader in the Healthcare Cost Containment industry. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the organization’s overall business objectives.
  • Set ambitious sales targets and quotas, and create a roadmap to achieve them.
  • Identify new market opportunities and segments for our solutions.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Identify and build relationships with executive-level sponsors within key customer organizations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for these executive sponsors, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer issues and deliver exceptional value.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

 

 

Sales Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of success.
  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance sales organization, including hiring, training, and retaining top talent.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.

 

Market and Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
  • Use market insights to adjust sales strategies and positioning to maintain a competitive edge.

 

Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Implement and optimize sales operations processes, including CRM tools, sales forecasting, and reporting.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team and board of directors on sales performance, KPIs, and key metrics.

 

Customer Focus:

  • Ensure a customer-centric approach by understanding customer needs, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

 

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success, to align strategies and deliver on customer promises.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop strategies that maximize revenue opportunities.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working for a startup organization required.
  • Experience selling to healthcare payers required.
  • Successfully building & closing large accounts with large and complex sales cycles.
  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership in the technology industry.
  • Experience selling enterprise class products.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Results-driven and highly motivated.

 

Additional Information:

  • Travel may be required to meet with executive sponsors and attend industry events.

The annual base salary target for this position is $200K, however we are flexible based on experience.  This position is eligible for sales commission and has unlimited earning potential.
