🔍 What we're looking for

At Smartex we’re expanding our team of field engineers who are trained to design, test and install mechanical and electrical solutions in industrial environment. These professionals receive ongoing training across all technical departments such as electronics, electrical, mechanical, firmware and software. These team members are hands-on power-users who deal directly with our customers and partners either to design and test constructive solutions but also to train outsourced professionals. They are also an important contact point with our customers, that is why they need to have excellent communication skills. As a Smartex engineer Intern, you will be asked to translate complex technical matters to simple and concise terms on a daily basis. This particular position is our chance to work with talent from the Istanbul area, increasing our presence in the region.

👇 Responsibilities

• Visit customers around the world
• Assess and develop mechanical and electrical solutions for retrofitting industrial machines with hardware
• Assess factory layouts and other relevant aspects for network installation
• Design customs parts in SOLIDWORKS and with other softwares
• Read and write technical documentation (technical drawings, electrical schematics, installation manuals, etc.)
• Work together with other Smartex teams in projects relevant for the company growth
• Work together with our third-party vendors and support them in the field when necessary
• Translate complex technical details accurately and structured
• Provide technical training and support other colleagues

🛠️ Skills & Experience

• You’ve a BS degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or similar
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English and Turkish (written and verbal)
